One of My Top Favorites
I bought this one a whim when I saw my local store had the products out on the floor a good week or so prior to the online release (no online reviews available yet, so really didn't know at all what to expect). I immediately loooved it upon trying it out at home. Immediate favorite. Folks tend to have certain sent notes that they just click with. (My husband also said right away, "Yeah, that's a Cody-sent, for sure.) I'm not always eloquent on what specific scent notes spark my fancy over others. However, I do know I generally tend to love sweet, gourmet, powdery, and soft scents. I'm also recently enjoying more classically feminine and floral scents. For context, my top B&BW scents tend to include: In the Stars, Secret Wonderland, Kaleidoscope, A Thousand Wishes, Magic in the Air, Almond Blossom, Cactus Blossom (especially mixed with Confetti Cake Pop, yum!). Also love me some Toasted Praline and Pear and Golden Sunflower. (Okay, maybe that's too large of a selection/ range of scents to be helpful; I won't fault you for the downvote, but it'll still make me frown...). However, I also like a fragrance that will last; I don't want to have to resort to over-spraying and reapplying all day... That tends to be a strong loss in points in my evaluation. This one seems to remain with me throughout much of the day.
To give credit to previous 3 or less star reviews, this is also not the absolute longest lasting scent in the world. But it is definitely far from the weakest. While I agree it has a general vanilla scent upon dry-down, I also personally find that it does not have just a plain vanilla scent. The tonka bean note in particular stands out to me (one note I do know I love quite a lot in any scent, spray, candle, what-have-you). It has a spiciness uniqueness that sets it apart. I quite like Dahlia almost as equally as I do Golden Sunflower, but I would say it is less floral on dry-down and more heavy on the sweetness; Golden Sunflower tends to hold out longer on the floral note.
Anyhow, I think it's pretty great and dang special. I stocked up on this one (a bit too excessively [trauma response from losing Secret Wonderland while understocked....]). Of course, try it and see what you think. To each their own!

Bring back Toasted Praline & Pear
This has a similar praline note as Toasted Praline & Pear, but also a strong floral note which ruins the fragrance for me since I get headaches from strong scents. Please bring back Toasted Praline & Pear - it was a perfect gourmand scent that smelled like pie crust and wouldn’t give me a headache at all. If you don’t mind strong florals with hints of spicy and sweetness then maybe you’ll like Dahlia.

Great for heavy perfume lovers
I have seen this on the shelves at my local BBW for about a month and the packaging just didnt advertise the scent as something I would enjoy. Yesterday I decided to go ahead and try a couple of spritz and I was so surprised by how good this smells! This scent is equal parts fruity and floral and VERY strong. While I am accustomed to wearing heavy perfumes, I dont think this will be for everyone-- especially those who prefer a lighter scent.
Im not sure if I will repurchase but this is a nice one to have for date nights!

Anticlimactic and average at best
I couldn’t wait to smell this because of how gorgeous the packaging is. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. This is a very floral baby powdery scent. Looking at the scent notes, it seems like they’re trying to take a different spin on Toasted Praline and Pear (from last year’s fall line). Hopefully this doesn’t mean they’re not coming back with that one because it was amazing. This new scent is just not it. It doesn’t live up to the beautiful packaging whatsoever. I can’t justify having it in my collection just for looks.
