Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great smell.... Hate the new color! Amazing smell. I don't like smells that are of food. I'm very much a beachy/woodsy/nature type of person. This is one of my favorites. I couldn't be more disappointed in the color. Does not match the scent at all. The scent is strong but not overwhelming. I'm wondering where the scents from years past are that have palm leaves???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mahogany Teakwood's Twin! Okay, so let's just say it as it is - this is Mahogany Teakwood, in my humble opinion. Call it a summer version with a summery label. Take out the teakwood, but the rest of the notes are the same. Using beachy words to describe the notes doesn't change the scent. As I've mentioned in past reviews, my 24 year old daughter's favorite candle is Mahogany Teakwood. I know what it smells like. I had her smell this candle cold, without showing the label, and she said what? It's Mahogany Teakwood. Take it a step further to today. We were both stuck at home enduring the next northeast storm. Unknown to either of us, she lit Mahogany Teakwood in her room and I lit this candle in my living room. At some point we were both in the kitchen and I'm thinking wow that candle got stronger. The connection was made and they smell exactly the same. I'm really disappointed. I love Mahogany Coconut and Mahogany Balsam. Couldn't they have come up with another new one? The throw is strong, the colored wax is great. Personally, I would have traded the colors with this and Pineapple Sunrise. If nothing else, those like my daughter can enjoy a different look for summer. That's my 2 cents with this one. I have to add one more thing. As MilwaukeeTim commented on - I also do my best to be helpful and honest and cover as much as I can when reviewing. I haven't been doing it for that long, but I very much appreciate people like MT, Mater, and many others that take the time to put into words everything you want to know about a candle; especially those that cannot get to a store. It bugs me too if I get some No's. Thankfully, the Yes's outweigh them! I encourage more people to review!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mens Cologne I bought this candle cuz the rep said it would be perfect for my sons rooms (she knos i buy candles for ea bedrn) cuz it reminds her of men’s strong cologne. Anyways when i smelled it at the store it did remind me of a manly nice cologne scent but i was afraid if being too overpowering scent..But once i got home and started burning it, it wasnt as strong as i thought. It does smell really good and i can really smell the mahogany and id say the throw is maybe a 7 or 8 outta 10.. and my son really likes it cuz he hates when i put citrusy scented candles in his room. So as long as hes happy, im happy..but overall, its a great scent wth a great throw!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yellow. Why Not?! BBW seemingly pulled this collection out of thin air, and just in the nick of time. Things were grim for a while in their stores and Ocean Driftwood brings some cheeriness to the formerly boring corners of BBW stores. BBW chose to reincarnate this fragrance in a golden yellow wax. Why not?! It's bright and summer is around the corner. (And since this one is yellow, I'm guessing that is why Pineapple Sunrise was assigned green, which also makes sense since that fragrance reflects notes that suggest the fronds of the fruit.) Now, to the important part, the fragrance itself. It is a spicy, cologne scent with a mahogany base that many BBW fans like. I am not one of them. In fact, I don't particularly like this scent at all, personally. That doesn't mean you cannot like it. To be fair, it is a clean scent that has its merits and I believe many BBW shoppers will really appreciate this fragrance. The mahogany is the dominant note. I don't detect lavender in the same capacity that we're used to experiencing it, but I don't doubt it is there. That is what contributes to the complexity of the cologne scent--but it isn't that French, herbal garden lavender scent. But rather a slightly astringent, yet pleasant note. There is also an oak note listed in the description, and I do detect a dry note to this candle that is reminiscent of an oak barrel. This entire series is endowed with my favorite BBW wick to date: BIG. FAT. WICKS. These do not break off in the wax. You must trim the mushroom tops off the wicks once they've cooled before you can burn the candle safely again. These take about two hours to pool completely, but as I've mentioned in other reviews, I believe this is because BBW listened to it's core base and is trying to extend burn times that will allow the candle to burn cooler (and thus not dud out with low flames and drowning wicks). The throw is a solid nine out of 10, possibly even a 10 out of 10. The label is attractive, and I am happy to see former quality standards return. Let's hope this continues. Well, I think I've covered it all. If you agree, hit the helpful button. If not, please write your own review and find a way to tell me what I'm missing. There is always one or a few who hit the "not helpful" button and I cannot figure out what more I could possibly offer up in a review.
